MacRumors, I am looking for an application on Mac OS (10.6), which runs in the background and changes my desktop wallpaper automatically. I should be able to give it a set of images, and it should pick a new one at random to be my wallpaper every day.

'But Jynto,' you say. 'there's already a system preference for that. Just control click your desktop and-' I'm gonna cut you off right there. I have had problems with the built in wallpaper changer.

Firstly it doesn't change my wallpaper every day like I tell it to. It also changes it when I log on, when I plug in another monitor, when I unplug the monitor, when I relaunch the dock, whenever it feels like it. It's annoying.

Secondly it's not compatible with Path Finder. When I am running the Path Finder desktop, it just shows the first wallpaper in the series.

Wallpaper changers are 10 a penny on Windows, and yet I search wallpaper changer on MacUpdate and get five results, none of which are the thing I want. Tell me that such an app exists and the MacUpdate search bot is as dumb as I think it is.

Edit: I seem to have fixed the problem in Path Finder. But the other reason still stands.
