I have a white background on my white iphone and after the ios upgrade my background now has a fade to it. I do not have "Contrast" enabled under the accessibility tab. The bottom half of the wallpaper is the original color, the top half is being applied by ios.

Is there a fix for this?

It's so that your clock is more readable on the lock screen. I think it's silly and that you should be able to choose whether you have a shadow or not, and I think you should be able to choose whether to have black or white font, as opposed to having the iOS choose it for you.

The shadow thing is more sensitive now. Wallpapers that I used before are no longer usable, because they now cause this ugly shadow to appear, whereas before, it didn't.

And as you can see I modified my wallpaper to take care of the clock/notification area.
