I have this photo on my Gmail page.Dont know how it got there. But I would like to make it my home screen photo.

In Firefox (which I see you are using), right-click the image, and press "Save Image As..." or something like that. Or copy the image, and paste it in Finder. Or you could right-click it and press "Use Image as Desktop Picture" if you want to cut to the chase, though that won't save the image anywhere permanent.

...or just drag and drop enlarged picture from the web browser to your desktop or any other folder (eg. Pictures)
