Wallpaper resetting itself

Hey all, I've been having a weird problem in the last couple of days on my macbook pro that I bought in April of 2010. At random times the background pictures that I set as a wallpaper suddenly vanish, and all I have left is a blue screen as a background. I'm not sure why it does this, and the files I'm using are on my computer, not on a piece of removable media or anything. Any ideas why this might occur? I've never seen this happen before the last couple of days, and haven't made any major changes in the last couple of days that may have caused it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perform a PRAM reset. That usually solves that issue. If that doesn't work, you can try to repair permissions.

Sounds like a permissions problem.

Thanks dude, it appears to have worked so far, I will try to repair permissions if it doesn't continue to work.
