I had this happen to me when my 1st Gen iPhone was jailbroken. I know that last time, I used mobilefinder to delete the background file and it took care of that. But now, on my non-jailbroken iPhone 3G, I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to select a new wallpaper picture, and no matter what picture I select, my wallpaper stays on the same picture. Does anyone know a quick fix for this? I realize that I can restore it to factory settings, but that just takes too long. Anyone have any ideas?

having the same issue

i had a jailbroken 1.1.4 phone and customizes my background using springboard, or customize one of those. i then upgraded to 2.0 and since then 2.1 and my background has been stuck since. you can read here how to fix it http://customizeapp.com:81/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1136&p=8554#p8554 but that's if you have a jailbroken phone.

there are sites that show you how to jailbreak a 2.1 phone http://www.quickpwn.com/2008/09/jai...howComment=1221886740000#c2415351385119622641 & http://www.coderetard.com/2008/09/13/how-to-jailbreak-iphone-21-firmware-ipsw-with-quickpwn-windows/

not sure if i want to risk that. have you found a way to fix this yet? yeah could do a restore and have no settings on it but i have a good backup with all my contacts settings texts and pics i'd like to keep. im wondering if theres a way to ssh to a 2.1 phone. let me know if you found anything out please.
