hi, when i click on an image and "save as desktop wallpaper" where exactly is that pic saved?

Downloads Folder, or the Desktop.

on Windows when you set a wallpaper it doesn't necessarily save but it shows up as an option under wallpapers. as for Apple computers, i have nooo idea.

This is not correct. If you're using Safari under Mac OS X, it saves it in username/Library/Safari/Safari Desktop Picture.jpg
