Since the Mac version of Photoshop, allows your wallpaper to show through.
Have you ever thought how your wallpaper is effecting your color balancing?

I'm thinking of changing my wallpaper to a neutral gray, when in Photoshop, and see if it makes a difference.

Just wondering........

You can press "F" on the keyboard to toggle to a more "Windows like view" with gray or black as the background.

hope this helps.

Setting your computer wallpaper to neutral gray is pretty standard affair. It's not flashy but it helps a lot.
