Hey all,
This is such a great forum!
Here is the problem...gave my old Wallstreet G3 to my Father-In-Law...lives on an island off of Vancouver and is connected with dial up to a small isp on another island........
For months they have had trouble connecting...real hit and mis...lots of remote side problem messages.....I checked the modem control panel today and saw that the modem selected was a Hayes....I changed it to the powerbook g3 internal and it connected evrytime 15 times in a row....
BUT...after shutting down and re-booting I keep getting the message to check the modem control panel.........everything seems fine but no connection...switched back to the Hayes selection in the modem panel and now it works?!
What the hell am I doing wrong???? All the firmware seems up-to-date.
Help!
