Walmart at midnight?

What are the chances of going to Walmart to pickup the phone at midnight?

Also, does walmart only sell phones dedicated to carriers or can I buy an unlocked iphone and then assign it to a network later?

If i am not up for an upgrade with att can i pay full price at walmart and still get the iphone 5?

I know two people that breezed into Walmart around 1am last year and walked out in a matter of minutes with their new iPhone 4S models, no problem.

Called the one by me and they did not get any in. Might want to call before you waste your time.

Went to local walmart to ask. They stated you can only get a phone if you sign a 2-year contract or eligible for upgrade. Can not buy one without a contract. They also said they will not sell them until the carrier service center opens which I'm assuming is in the morning.
