I have an icon-looking image on my Mac Air desktop that can be moved about with the cursor but cannot be selected nor will it go into the trash. It looks like a disk image on a sheet of paper. If I change the size of my regular desktop icons, the size of the mystery image does not change.

It's like the icon from hell.

It mysteriously appeared after I downloaded some Yahoo widgets.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks.

Oh **** man the icon from hell? Sounds scary. Post a screenshot (this forum allows attachments).

Use command+shift+3 to take a screenshot of everything on the screen.
Use command+shift+4 to get cross-hairs that allow you to select a portion of the screen to capture.
Use command+shift+4... and then hit the spacebar... to select a single window to take a screenshot of.

The screenshot will turn up on your desktop labeled "Picture 1"

Huh?????

EDIT: Never mind I think I got it; the OP accidentally pressed the screenshot shortcut and that was what he was seeing...
