wanna turn my old powermac g3 into a pvr possible?

ive been given a old powermac g3 with audio/video input/output card
i would have pulled it but its not even pci its some weird slot so i figure id make a pvr out of it and give it a new lease on life
is there any software i could run
or maybe a special linux distro that can do that
