Right now we have two facts that could easily lead to EotB on iOS happening (but beware, right now there is nothing really going on besides us trying to make GOG aware).

1. GOG dug up and bought the rights to the Eye of the Beholder series, so at least the rights are no longer in "licensing hell" (http://www.pcgamer.com/how-gog-rescued-13-forgotten-realms-games-from-licensing-hell/)

2. We (Wargbyte, developer of Indie game Shadowkeeper) have a running iOS engine for EotB (in a rough state, but technical stuff would not be a hurdle).

Should GOG be interested in releasing EotB on iOS the main hurdle would probably be a licencing deal. Not sure it they even care, so at least for them to notice there must be interest. To show that, please vote (comment) here:

P.S. A remaster with hires 2D graphics would be no problem. A real 3D one would be possible (if someone rebuilds the assets) but it might alter the gameplay slightly.
