Go on youtube app and type in "4k videos".

Welcome

Lol. The YouTube app only outputs 720p max. Not to mention the app isn't even scaled for the 6+, and 4k video will only be 1080p on a 1080p screen.

If you want to watch 1080p stuff on your 6+ then go watch a movie off iTunes.

It's 1080p on 6+.

Oh I guess I was so wrong about the 4k on iphone 6 plus

hahaha

The fact that the chip inside can theoretically drive 4k is one thing. The screen resolution is, and always will be, your limiting factor here. The iPhone screen is not 4k.

That said, I'm not going to sit here and deny a 4k video on YouTube looks better than its 1080p counterpart. YouTube videos have always looked lower quality to me than and actual HD feed, even comparing to something like Netflix streaming. You are probably getting a higher bitrate stream and this a crisper image with the 4k videos.

Why bother!

Seriously, why bother with 1080p. Isn't it enough for your eyes? Videos with 1080p is amazingly beautiful. It's far better for human eyes. So, please be happy.

Here is one of the reasons why technology is advancing really quick but hardly being utilized by tech giants.

There is that saying... Ignorance is bliss.

With that said, after watching 1440p on my PC I hate 1080p. Heck, if I can ever get a 120hz 4k monitor I would pick one up in an instant.

IMO, 4K videos look great even if the display is not 4K.

I tested some 4K videos (YouTube) on my 13" MBA before and I can clearly see the difference between Full HD and 4K videos.

Of course, you will need a 4K display to fully enjoy 4K content.
