want to attach network storage

i have a notebook harddrive laying around. i was gonna buy a usb adaptor to make it external, but i'd like to add it as network storage instead.

i don't want to buy another router that has built in usb in order to share it. does anyone know of any cheap solutions?

the ideal solution'd be a hard drive enclosure with ethernet port.. but i doubt they are available also for 2.5' notebook drives...
