The DVD player is a few years old. I want something I can simply burn old episodes of cartoons I've found onto a DVD or 700mb CD to play on a DVD player (PAL)

What is there out there I can get? Preferably free but I'm willing to buy something. All I can seem to find is apps that rip stuff.

Thanks in advance!

Are the shows in a video format like .mpg or .avi? If so more often than not DVDs made with video files like that will not play when burnt in Toast, it's one finicky software.

You might want to give VisualHub a try. It can "stitch" movie files together and then convert them to DVD and burn them. Plus $23.32 is a lot better than the $99.99 Roxio charges for Toast.

Search for an app called Burn - it's a very user-friendly frontend/lite version that does a good job of converting .avis to .mpgs (and handling NTSC/PAL issues), then burning to DVD.
