Hi all, I'd like to do a fresh install of Leopard on my MBP. I don't mind transfering data or reinstalling all the applications - in fact I kind of like that part (test of a true nerd I guess).

What I don't like is having to make sure that all my preference files and keychain files and mail files etc. all make it to the right place without fing up the permissions or keychain passwords, etc.

What is the easiest/best way to go about doing a fresh install without losing stuff like that?

any advice appreciated - thanks!
