Ive been waiting to post this, since 1) I've been lazy and 2) I thought i would have seen it around by now on the forums. But since I haven't and finally got off my lazy arse to post this, I hope this is useful to those too hesitant to bite the bullet.
There is an App in the App Store called "iWoopie". It downloads videos from Youtube and more. The only problem is it saves the videos within its own app, but you can still watch the video when not connected to an internet service... likey not so useful to the iPhone community but definitely the ipod touch community would benefit.
