I want to do a fresh install of sl on a macbook, now it has windows vista. It boots to the password screen and for some reason its not taking my password. I must say im new to mac so please dont talk too badly about me. I do have a fresh copy of sl. I want to just do a format and do a fresh install, I do not have the original install disks, any advice will be appreciated. thanks in advance. also I have a powermac g5 is there any way i can connect the two of them and format the macbook and do the install? thanks

it boots up to the windows vista password screen, im putting in my password like usuall but it wont work, i have nothing valuable on the hd so i just want to format and put sl on it thanks

Put the disk in the CD drive and reboot. Hold down the "C" key when it gets to the grey screen (and before the little spinner comes on). Keep it held down until you hear the CD being read.

It should boot into the installer from there.
