Want to install SSD 3.5 inch on my iMac 27" i5

Hello,

Planning to install a SSD 500gb by late summer, question is after i install it what are the procedures such as downloading Mac OS X Lion again, setting it up as my default hard drive.

The youtube videos' dont look too hard, hardest seems to me is removing the screen.

The hardest part was putting the screws back in the display panel. The magnets that hold the glass in place are very close to the screw holes. Every time you go to put the screw in it wants to stick to the magnet. My solution to this (although I didn't have one) would be to use a short piece of a straw. Put the screw on the end of the screw driver and stick it in the straw. Then use that to put the screw in. Once the screw is started you can remove the straw.
