As long as MicroLED TVs stay in the six figure range, don’t expect them on your laptops. They’re making them huge because that allows the individual pixels to be larger, and for economies of scale.

Yeah it will probably be towards the end of the decade before the price is "reasonable", but when it does arrive, it will be glorious:

Funny I was just thinking how much I liked the mini LED display. I have a 4k OLED display 15.6" laptop and a 16" MBP and I prefer the MBP. The OLED is great but the whites are not as good as mini LED and I really can't tell the difference between the two in terms of contrast or blooming. It is not exactly as good as OLED but it doesn't suffer from the problems of OLED either like white balance and burn in.

So as much as I am sure Micro Led will be even better than Mini LED, Mini LED in practice is pretty good! The Micro LED might even be better than OLED!! Should be worth the wait!!

I have no doubt the potential to surpass oled is there, but man, I’m disappointed with how slowly it’s taking to bring down the costs from the stratosphere.

And these are large TV displays. Shrinking micro LED will be a lot more challenging than making big TVs due to power density.

I don’t think anyone is expecting micro LED to come any time soon. Mini LED will probably rule this decade.
