Hi, I just copied a couple DVDs that I own onto my computer and want to make them into smaller files. They are full disk extractions at about 4GB. Also the main feature (which is the only part I want) is split into 4 or 5 20-minute segments. Is there a program that will string the files together and save them as one 700MB file? Is there a free program that does this?

Use Handbrake or VisualHub to transcode the DVD down. You can then use a free program (utility) called AddMovie to concatenate those clips in to a single movie (and even add chapters).
