Want to make a christmasy garageband song

I'm not very good at making music but i can use garageband. Any advice on what sort of sound effects or sounds to use in order to create a christmas song? Any other advice on this? Thanks.

Maybe go for the orchestral sounds. Most of them sound pretty phoney, but I think that sound would go good with the typical lameness of christmas songs lol.

Advice for any beginner: "Think small", "keep it simple"

The simpler the better. You are not going to get a big mix with 24 tracks to sound good. So do a minimalist kind of thing. Like solo flute. Ok if you must add some effects, solo flute with a small amount of reverb.
