Ok, I have a nearly all original 17" iMac G5 1.6 (rev.A). Times are difficult financially and I was planning to buy a new iMac, but I begin by asking the forum what can be done to get the most mileage out of the computer I am already using. (I am already running Leopard) How long will this machine be usable? I have been reading the Kbase at Apple Support, but I know there are those here who have accomplished what I am wondering about already. I would like to know where to buy the parts and how much I can expect to spend. I plan to do all the labor myself. Here's what I am thinking I will have to do:
Install Superdrive, Upgrade RAM, Upgrade HDD, Add Airport card. I am sure I may be forgetting something
