I recently obtained an external drive FW800 that I want to move all my final cut pro x video too, including the projects. The problem is that I used iMovie before and then imported all those projects into final cut. What is necessary for me to move all the iMovie and FCPX folders off the internal and onto the external but still have all the projects and have FCPX know where everything is for the next time I want to edit it?

not sure? Can you open imovie projects in fcpx? If so you can right click over the project and move to another drive, which will duplicate the project to that desired location? Not too sure about events though? sorry

Well I have about 200GB in events that still haven't been edited yet so I will still have to work on those. I'm still finding a way, I know it's possible.
