Hey guys, im interested in taking out my CD drive in place of a second SSD HD to use for my OS and applications.

I'd like to use this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&clk_rvr_id=249169433782

with this SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441

What kind of tools do i need to have to perform this?

Also, will i be able to install Snow leopard with a flash drive since i'll no longer have a CD drive? if so, how do i do it?

Is there anything else i'll need to have or know in order to complete this operation?

thanks

I bought that one for 13 bucks flat, and it arrived today!

Anyways, what I would recommend is use Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) to make a a copy of your boot files and applications (I suppose that's what you would like on your SSD) onto your Crucial M4. This will put your Snow Leopard onto your SSD.

I also have a 2011 Macbook Pro if that's of any help. Now, personally, my dilemma is figuring out how to store everything else (documents, photos, etc) on my HDD instead of my SSD.
