Want to see MacBook Pro on non-bluetooth tv as monitor

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro, running Lion 10.7.4. After a few tries, it's clear that I'd have to spend $300+ to get a decent 24"ish monitor display for it (necessary due to vision problems). Seems to make sense to use the Toshiba tv I already have (Regza 37hl17), but it is not bluetooth.
My Macbook has bluetooth, it seems there might be a bluetooth adaptor I could buy for the tv rather than string together 12' of cables so that a wired connection could reach. The TV is nailed to the wall, its position is not negotiable :)
This is probably more a tv question than a mac question, but I will much appreciate anyone's patience and assistance!!

the only wireless solution will be to wait for mountain lion to be released, and get an apple tv to use airplay. until then, your only option is through an HDMI cable and adapter plugged into the mini display port.

Thanks!

Thank you for this information - not what I hoped to hear, but at least I won't waste any more time looking!
