Want to take WD MyBook home from work computer

I have at work a WD MyBook to back up my work. It did not come with a user manual, but it is set up with Time Machine and works great.

Problem is, I want to take it home with me this weekend and I'm not sure if I can just unplug it and take it with me or if there's something I have to do with it or Time Machine first. Anyone know what I should do???
