I've been thinking about upgrading my Mac Mini Core Solo for a couple of months now, to speed up Handbrake and similar apps. Would one of these be the correct socket etc?

Also, where's the best place in the UK to buy RAM for these machines at the mo? I think I'll take it up to about a gigabyte. It has the stock 512MB at the moment.

Finally, I think I'd be selling the Core Solo that the machine shipped with. Does anybody know if these are worth anything second hand on ebay etc? Who would they be of use to?

Go to Scan.co.uk for the memory.

You need a Merom Core 2 Duo. I think the one in your link is Conroe. I'll need someone else to confirm that.

Merom's are hard to find.

Yes, the one in the link is the desktop version of the Core 2 Duo (Conroe), you need to buy the laptop version (Merom). The Intel based Mac Mini will only accept a Socket M processor. :)

For Example.
