I am on an imac and I use ichat to talk with family who also have imacs. I would also like to talk with people who are on windows. Is there a program that is compatible with both mac and windows and does video conferencing?

thanks for your help.

skype has a video chat feature and it runs on windows as well as mac.
Thats what I use I hope you find it useful.

Thanks alot. I figured there was a program just for that purpose.

thanks.

does skype cost money?

As long as you talk to someone on the computer it doesn't.
If you intend to call a landline or a cell phone you will have to pay.
(It used to be free till January) I miss those times :(

iChat is nice to use if you are talking with people on AIM and iChat, and whatever else is compatible with iChat. But I have found that Skype has a better picture and audio when v-chatting.
