Wanted: rom update/firmware update for Radeon Mobility 9000

Hello,

so, in doing more work with OS 9, I wanted to know if ATI ever produced a rom or firmware update to the 1ghz PowerBook Titanium graphics processor - Radeon Mobility 9000. I went back to ATI’s website using web archive way back to 2002-2003, but couldn’t find anything there.

I did see on the garden OS 9 ATI drivers which were released in 2005 - will these work for this chip? It mentions Radeon Pro 9000 and all
Radeon from 9000-9200.

I might be wrong, but aren't the mobility line ROMs just part of the laptop's system ROM?

They are, so it would require a systems firmware update, and I don't think Apple ever upgraded the ATI FCode ROM in the firmware, so he's pretty much out of luck.
