Currently I have a MacBook Pro Retina 15" (mid 2015). Last March, I replaced the battery for the 1st time bc it was swollen to the point that they couldn't put the back cover back on without causing battery to go boom. Now, when I brought my comp into the shop for a different reason, they said this 2nd battery is swollen as well. Now, I'm thinking of purchasing a new Mac Mini, with the M1 chip. Because my current comp was bought while I was in school for graphic design, it was a higher end model at that time. Now, when deciding to purchase the Mac mini, I am finding myself troubled with the decision of a display and wireless keyboard. I already have the bluetooth mouse, so don't need that. I am wanting a display with similar "picture" as to what I am using now, but of course it will be bigger. My desk space is limited, and I am thinking of something no bigger than a 20". Also, I am confused with all the port options on the Mac mini, so that gives me another problem to solve. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good monitor. My budget is a little better than nil, so plz take that into account. I've attached a pic of my current computer system specs, if it's any help. Thanks!!

Just wondering... where did you have the battery replaced?

Having said that...
DON'T BUY an m1 Mini.
Wait about 5-6 more weeks.
A NEW MINI is coming with the m1pro CPU. May even be announced next month.
CONSIDER YOURSELF AS HAVING BEEN DULY WARNED ABOUT THIS.

If the m1 is all the budget will allow, consider buying an Apple-refurbished Mini from their online store.
I did this with my 2018 (intel) Mini -- very satisfied with the purchase.

Odds are the new Mac mini will cost more.

Any Apple silicon Mac will outperform any Intel Mac.

For a similar DPI. You'll want a 4K display.

If you can find one. You can find the discontinued LG 22MD4KA-B. As it'll have the true Retina DPI. Being 21.5" and 4096x2304 resolution. It's the one LG sold to pair with the 21.5" iMac.

It's actually the only monitor I'm aware of which will meet all your criteria.

I got the battery replaced at Mac Doctors here in my hometown.

In regards to looking for a monitor, which port (HDMI vs Thunderbolt 3 vs DisplayPort) should I be looking for that would be best for graphic design, specifically Adobe AI, that would get me the best results?

Also, which would be better LED vs LCD?
