Hiya, It is my Wife's Birthday shortly and I wanted to get her a new MacBook as it's quite a big Birthday!

I bought her last one for her and it is a MacBook Air "Core i5" 1.3 13" (Mid-2013) and I am looking for suggestions on the best model to go for...

Her usage is mainly web browsing (lots of it) and working from home by dialling in via a web portal (very light usage) with MS Office use

My thoughts are that the base model 2020 MacBook Air i3 will be more than capable for her needs (she has very rarely ever complained of it being slow and when it was we simply did a fresh install of OSX and it cleared it up fine)

I'm assuming that the Base 2020 i3 will run rings around her existing model?

The 2020 i5 would surely be overkill for her needs??

Chers

Nick

Yes ab i5 will be more than enough, I’m able to do video and music production on a MacBook with just a Core 2 Dou and I have no problems with that.

so you might be better going with a core 2 dou is your looking for a cheaper alternative andstill run fast
