Warcraft 3 frozen throne patch problem!

hey! i installed warcraft recently on my mac. I was working fine. I wanted to play DotA (HAHA.) so i dloaded the maps, but then it didn't work. i found out i had to patch up W3. so i dloaded patch 1.22, and it patched successfully. (patched frozen throne). After that, i launched frozen throne. But then a pop up message came out and said Sorry, Warcraft III could not be opened.

Now, i don't know what to do. i reinstalled again, patched again, same thing happened. I heard that i have to do the 5-key thing confirmation again. but how? help please! thank you!

I have the exact same issue any help would be aprechiated (addtionally tried several reinstals and if i don't patch Frozen throne runs fine

There's a problem with the 1.22 patch...

Either redownload the game from blizzard (already patched) or click here https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/519063/ and start at post #11, it should resolve your problem.
