is anyone's else iPad Air running fairly warm?

I just picked mine up off the charger and the back is really warm. It feels like I left the iPad in the sun for several hours. Screen brightness is at about 75% with the display to turn of after 5 minutes. However, while on the charger it hasn't been used at all.

Is the a common issue in iPads? I would be a bit worried about giving the iPad to a small child at this temperature.

Very lightly warm while charging or playing movies for long. Otherwise stone cold :) Much better than ipad4/3 in this.

The only time I really noticed any ipad I have had get overly warm or hot is if I am charging it and trying to use it at the same time. If I don't use it while it is charging there is no heat issue. So I just charge it at night when I go to bed.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that it is more on the warm side than "hot". This is my first iPad, so wasn't sure if it was normal. Would using a smaller W power adapter make a difference? I believe that the Air comes with a 12W.

Smaller will not hurt but may not fully charge your Air.

Use the charger that came with your Air.

Mine gets hot when I play games. I was told by Apple technician to back up the file and go to summary device click restore the problem will be fixed.
