just bought this thing.. and love it. shame it won't actually work for my macbook pro even tho the pic on the box shows a macbook air. the plastic on the usb port side is too thick and you literally have to forcefully jam it into the usb port on the mac and use alot of force to pull it out. i recommend staying away from this product.

its very hard for me to get mine to plugin to it.. maybe your usb ports are more loose then mine? when did u buy yours? i got mine from bestbuyreturns on ebay so maybe its a older revision?

I have a late 2009 MBP and it works just fine.

It IS a very tight fit .. on any port, but that is the way it's made to be.

FYI... Apple carries a full USB version that does not have this issue:

Contact Scosche tech support. They will help you out.

For those of you that have this for awhile, how is the durability with this thing? I've been using the sync cable for my phone and it's always breaking right at the dock. Are these a bit more durable? I'm sick of having to constantly replace my cable every 2-3 months.

That's the same thing as the OP is talking about and has the same USB connector that is a tight fit.

Contacting Scosche will result in an email telling you that the fit is intended to be tight and there is nothing wrong.
