Warranty? after jailbreak

I'm thinking about jailbreaking with limera1n. Will that affect my warranty though?

It will unless you restore the iPod to its official firmware.

It depends. I have looked into this question myself and there are tons of conflicting answers. Some people say that if you do a DFU restore before you bring the iPhone in, Apple can't tell it was JB unless they look VERY hard. Another point people made is that if your hardware fails, Apple won't be able to tell it was JB because they can't access the phone. But, technically yes, JB does void your warranty according to Apple.
