I do not know which is the proper forum for this, but I will try here in the Ventura forum since I have 13.2.1.

I received my new 16" M2 Pro MBP 32gb/1tb yesterday that I ordered directly from Apple. I also have an M1 Mini 16gb/512gb that I bought in July 2022 directly from Apple.

In About This Mac on the Mini and on the new MBP both show the same day in July 2023 as the warranty expiration. It is hard to believe that the exact day is a coincidence. I do not know what to do to fix this. The July 2023 date is correct on my Mini, but it is wrong on the new MBP since it should be in February 2024.

By the way, here is my thread about the various problems I have had since getting the MBP yesterday, including this warranty date problem. :(

I contacted Apple with the invoice and they corrected the warranty expiration date. Mine was only a few days off though.
 
Your best bet is to contact Apple as you bought the MBP from them. It’ll be a lot easier since you bought the computer directly from them.
 
Glad it’s fixed - but the warranty is what the warranty is, not the date shown in About This Mac. I wouldn’t have worried about it unless it actually needed warranty service, at which point they’ll adjust it as needed based on proof of purchase.
 
Yes, I know all about the don't-worry-about-it-because-probably-it-won't-be-a-problem-later thing. And then later when you most need to use the warranty and maybe need to get things taken care of as soon as possible there could be lots of rigamarole dealing with Apple trying to get something sorted out because it wasn't sorted out immediately during the 14-day free return window. The fact that it showed the wrong warranty expiration date on About This Mac was concerning to me. Does it reflect what Apple has in their system or not? I do not know and wanted to get it taken care of now. Anyway, glad I got it sorted out.

I would always recommend using checkcoverage on the Apple website to verify what date their system has listed for your device. That is the same system that both online and in-store (Genius Bar) use to verify warranty and/or Apple Care status.
