Hi, I was just wondering if the warranty will cover my phone even though I was not the original buyer. I checked the website and it says I still have limited warranty until July 14, 2009. I have a iphone 3g as well. Thanks.

Applecare for all apple products is tied to the serial number, not the owner. As long as it is covered, anyone could take it to an apple store or authorized service center and have it fixed under wearranty (provided its an issue that would normally be covered by said warranty).

Jackie- thanks for the reply.

Has anyone actually taken their phone in for warranty repairs and you were not the orginal owner? Thanks.

Take it in, Genius looks up serial, sees it's covered, takes care of you.

The end.
