I got a replacement iPhone 5 about a month ago, which was around a month before my warranty expired (it expired at the end of Sept). I've been experiencing lots of failed calls in the past two days and it may be just a local issue, but if its not and its the handset I'm just curious if I'm still covered? i.e do replacement handset have their own warranty? i.e 3 months warranty?

You're covered. Replacements have a 90 day warranty or the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is greater. :apple:

Apple definitely is not making it easy to get replacement phones. My flash doesn't work and instead of replacing the phone, they reset the phone, taking it to the back to open it and make sure no connections are lose. A year ago, they would have just replaced it without all the trouble. Oh well, I guess they are trying to save some money.
