I have about 7 dead/stuck pixels and from what i've heard that's the amount apple needs for it to be deemed replacable. Is this covered under the 1 year standard warranty?

There's no magic amount.

Take it into your Apple Store or call Apple Care.

It would definitely be covered under the warranty if they deem it to be replaceable...contact Apple and see what they say about it.
