Hi,

I just came across and advert for a 2015 MBP. The warranty information states warranty until August 26, 2016 which suggest a purchase date of August 28, 2015, i.e. less than a month ago.
But strangely the telephone support (which normally lasts 90 days) is already expired. How can this be?
It's not that I care about the telephone support but this kind of does not add up, so I am wondering if this is fishy.

I looked it up on Apple's website, and the dates on the amount of service left are just estimations and they go off of whatever is in their system. It could be possible that the person that bought the computer originally had the information get messed up.

I manage an apple specialist and when we receive cpus there is always an estimated purchase date listed for each serial this is usually a month or so in the future to account for the time taken to sell a cpu. I would imagine this cpu was sold earlier and that perhaps the phone support is already up.
