Warranty question

Hi,

What if let's say you buy a Macbook on 1 Januari 2014.
This means you get 1 year warranty untill 1 Januari 2015.

But if after 6 months for exemple you get a total replacement of you Macbook because there was something wrong.

How long does your warranty last for that device? Untill 1 Januari 2015 (like the original)

Or do you get a full 1 year on that replaced device because it's a completly different device?

It should be the last option in my opinion.

the new device's warranty only lasts for the remainder of the current warranty*, it doesn't refresh

*or 1 month, whichever is longer
