If my iPhone were ever to die for some magical reason, how would they check for my warranty? iPhone receipt? ATT account? I'm canceling my contract after a month so i don't know how would they check it out if i ever needed my iPhone replaced.

Your personal information is linked to the serial number at purchase, so it's age (in your hands, at least) is tracked.

So if it were to break down where would i find this number? Also can i edit my personal info because i used my mom's credit card to buy the iPhone since it asked for a $500 deposit on mine -.-

To find your serial number:

iPhone: Locating the serial number

You can register the iPhone, update/change/correct your details a couple of ways. Easiest would be to use the "Register my product" link on the bottom right of the apple.com/support page. If all else fails, call 800.APL.CARE.
