My late 2011 MBP has an intermittent problem where the cursor either freezes or flys around uncontrollably. It's under warranty, and I had the trackpad replaced at an Apple store, but the issue persists. I called Apple support and it was suggested that I need a new logic board.

Right now I'm in Thailand. I brought it to an Apple authorized repair place and they said it would be 10-14 days to get the part, and I'd have to leave the MBP with them for that time.

There's no way to avoid having my computer tied up for that amount of time, is there? I may be in LA soon; would the parts wait be quicker there? Where are the parts warehoused?

The reason for the long wait is because its an Apple Service Provider and not an official Apple Store. When my logic board was replaced in the states at an Apple Store it was gone 4 days - it was shipped to a repair center.
