Hi,

I am having a couple issues with my phone and was thinking of taking it to Apple this weekend and possibly getting a Warranty replacement. However, I LOVE the jailbreak and would not want to end up with a 4.0.2 phone. I almost would rather live with the cosmetic issues my current phone has (dead pixel line that is hard to see) than have an unjailbroken phone.

Do you think Apple's refurb/replacement phones already have 4.0.2 on them, or will they update the software at time of replacement??

Couldn't you just downgrade it to 4.0.1?

yep I might have to do the same proximity sensor and antenna problems I owned less then 24 hours. They better have replacements in stock.

Just to double check, does the pixel line looks like this? is it showing on the black boot up screen with the Apple in the middle?

Chances are you can still get 4.0.1, but there is also a chance they get you a new one with 4.0.2.

No it's not that, I know that's part of the jailbreak. It's definitely a line of dead pixels.

if that is your issue then it is not the phone. when you unjailbreak it will go away. that is only on iPhones jailbroke with jailbreakme.com.

your lucky my cell signal sucks and proximity sensor issues my phone hung up on my daughter about 3 times last night, you can bet she was thrilled.

As of yesterday evening, apple is still signing 4.0.1 on iPhone 4, so I suggest, get it, jailbreak it and save your blobs on cydia.

Update: Restored my Iphone 4 and brought in for Warranty today at around 6pm EST. Got a replacement phone, and was soooo nervous, but then relieved to find it was on 4.0.1!
