Hello, I received an iPod touch with the "Back to school" promotion, it came with my Macbook. I do not need an iPod, so I am thinking of selling it. It is brand new, I haven't used it yet.

If I sell it, will my friend have the one year warrenty? And is this warrenty worldwide, so he can claim it at any Apple Store worldwide?

I am sorry for my missspelling.

Thank you for your fast answer.

The warranty transfers automatically I believe. But do I have to give the seller any documents, e.g. a copy of the receipt?

You shouldn't have to. Generally the serial number of the device gets activated with Apple on the date of purchase - all they have to do is get the serial number (on the back of the iPod as well as the packaging, also displayed when it's connected to iTunes), type it into their system and it automatically shows them the warranty status. Basically, as long as the new owner has the serial number (which they clearly will) then everything should be fine :)
