Friend got the new 3G and gave me her old 8gb Iphone. I currently have AT&T and am paying about $85 a month with my current plan (Unlimited text with 900min) I have almost 9000 rollover minutes and am thinking of cutting it back to 450 since i don't need that many. How much does a plan for the V1 cost with 450 min unlimited data and text?

One thing you should know-if you switch to a plan with LESS minutes-they will only roll over 1 month's worth of minutes. So in your case, you would loose all rollover minutes accumulated except 450-if you went to the 450 minute plan.
They did this to me when I went from the 1400 minutes family plan to the 700.
I think i remember reading that before. That stinks considering I paid for those minutes- they should be mine and be transferable! In any case.. I'm looking at around $100 a month correct?
Just add $20 to whatever plan you are looking at.
Cool thing about the iPhone 2G is that the $20 data plan includes 200 text messages-the 3G plan includes NONE-
Pisses me off so much I have had AT&T disable texting on all my phones in my family plan-I do NOT NEED unlimited for $30 and I refuse to pay 20 cents per a la carte message...
Is that 200 text and unlimited mobile to mobile? or just 200 texts? My current place has 200 and unlimited mobile to mobile.
As far as I know, all AT&T plans are free to all other AT&T customers-but I could be wrong-I just came over from T-Mobile where that WASN'T the case, but I am pretty sure it is for AT&T.
A texts counts as a text no matter who you send it to, mobile to mobile as well (which is lame).
Yeah I think (s)he was asking about phone calls. A text is a text-to whoever or wherever you send it.
Considering my 550 family plan + 1st gen iPhone data costs about that per month, your bill will actually be cheaper if you switch to the 450 minute individual plan. But if you want unlimited text, that's mmm... $20/mo, so it works out to about $85 (after all the little charges/taxes they add). So it's the same price except you've basically traded some talk minutes for iPhone data.
I'm not aware of anywhere where there is unlimited M2M text messages. The iPhone plan comes with 200 straight up, no more. Most plans come with unlimited M2M talk though.
No, actually it's unlimited mobile to mobile calling and texts on my current plan. I use around 2k texts a month.
Wow that is a LOT of text messages!!! Well I know you can get unlimited text message for $20 additional, plus the $20 for data-so add $40 to whatever plan you are looking at
