So, yeah.

I've been waiting since- forever? to get a new Intel Mac.
I got the 3GHZ, 4GBram, 250+500 HD, X1900, Bluetooth+Airport, wireless mouse/ keyboard.

Order posted 11:46 AM PST.

Just currious really. I figured loads of others were holding out for today too...

Got me some Apple care for the rev. A factor.

If only I had the money . . . ;)

I guess many feel that way but I have to do with my MacBook Pro for now :D

Hi,

I ordered mine at 22:22 GMT after 'making do' with a core duo mini for a few months....

Quad 3ghz, 1GB RAM, 250GB HD, BT, 7930GT

I wanted the 1900 XT + WiFi as well, but I need this new rig ASAP and will get the WiFi card later & can always get a new GFX in a few months...

My estimated delivery date is the 16th August, I need to work out where I can order another 2GB+ of RAM before then, anyone got suggestions, I *normally* use crucial, but I dont know much about these new FB-DIMM's.
 
I wait for the inevitable warping, strange noises, heating/melting and other stories. ;)


I'm going to hold off on a Mac Pro for a while. Apple have lost my build quality confidence. Do tell us all of your bad experiences - and please make it as graphic as possible. I enjoy an evil grin :p
 
I received both of mine yesterday, before I left from October....

and yes, I got the top of the line machines, maxed out everything, and even snatched up 8 of the 30" ACD's, AFTER they cut the prices.......

next week I will get Leopard, before I come back from Jan 07 :D

Ordered about 3pm eastern, and then about 5:30pm eastern I changed my order to the ATI card...wow, four times faster than the stock card.
This will be upgrading from my Dual 500 G4 :)

Yeeaah, everyone's pimpin' the Mac Pro. :D

Seems most of us got the 3GHZ and the X1900.
 
awesome setups... now if only they made the CAD programs i use for work for macs then it would justify buying a mac pro. dang.
 
wonder how many people that ordered today, will sell them in a month....



seems to be the trend lately.

there were macbooks for sale from private parties after like a week.
