Was it a good move trading my 2019 15" MacBook Pro base model for a 2020 MacBook Air?

I traded my 2019 15" MacBook Pro base model for a 2020 MacBook Air with M1, 7-core GPU, 256 SSD base model with an upgrade to 16GB RAM.

It was basically an even exchange.

My plan is to give away my 12" MacBook as well.

So now I will have one device to carry: Just the M1 MacBook Air instead of a 2019 15" MacBook Pro and a 12" MacBook

If you are happy, that is al that matters. I don’t see why you feel a need to ask strangers about something so obvious, especially after the fact.

I’m not sure how anyone else could provide you meaningful feedback on what computers to use or to buy. Some are a bit bigger, some aren’t, some are a bit faster than others. Theoretically they should all do the job these days.

Thank you. I could always reverse the transaction because there is a 14 days return window. But I felt confident when I made the move. Usually I ask here first but I thought it would be a good move. But then I just wanted to ask here as well.

I know my 15" was more expensive but power-wise now that the M1 is out with the 7-core GPU, as long as I get 16GB RAM upgrade in my new Air, it should be more powerful anyway than my 15", I am assuming...
