I was at colorwarepc.com and they color iMac G5's now. And they colors look really good. I realize they are renderings, but they do have a pic of one that has been really done in pink, or blush. It looks really good. Better than their ipod colorings for sure.

The thing is that if you don't use coulouring that's really non in trusive (white, beige, grey) the ergonomics of the screen gets worse. Take a black screen for example, when you use it the eye has to adjust itselfe between the bright display and the dark frame wich leads to eye fatigue. I could imagine that even screens that don't have very intrusive colours at all can be bad from an ergonomic viewpoint.
